Job summary

KPMG LLP is seeking a Senior Manager for its Business Tax Services practice in Salt Lake City. The role focuses on delivering partnership tax compliance and consulting to a diverse client base, from Fortune 100 to mid-market, while leading teams and ensuring high-quality service.

You will advise on partnership economics, tax distributions, and lifecycle events, and oversee risk, budgets, and client engagements. CPA/JD/EA credentials preferred; US work authorization required.

Qualifications

• Eight+ years of experience in partnership federal and state tax compliance in an accounting firm.
• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university.
• Licensed CPA, Enrolled Agent or JD/LL.M., with time to obtain an approved credential if not possessed at hire.
• Demonstrated quality service mindset, strong technical aptitude and critical thinking; proficient with MS Office and tax software.

Responsibilities

• Provide tax compliance and consulting services to partnerships for a range of clients.
• Consult on transaction calculations, partner economics, tax distributions, and partnership lifecycle events.
• Lead, counsel, and train teams of tax professionals; manage a portfolio of clients and serve as main point of contact.
• Oversee engagement risk, budgets, resources, status, and financial metrics.
• Stay current on tax practices and technology; contribute to process development and external business activities.
