Job summary

Baker Tilly is seeking a Senior Manager to lead outsourced client accounting in a cloud-based environment, serving multiple clients across the country. You will oversee accounting operations, financial reporting, controls, and Analytics to provide clients with insights and compliant results.

You will act as a trusted advisor, managing relationships with executives and boards, while guiding staff and ensuring service quality. A CPA/MBA and experience in professional services are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting; CPA and/or MBA preferred.
• Eight+ years of progressive accounting experience; professional services/consulting preferred.
• Public accounting or BPO firm experience required.
• Advanced GAAP knowledge and accounting principles.
• MS Office proficiency (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Sage Intacct experience; QuickBooks Online (QBO) a plus; Sage Intacct integrates with third-party apps.

Responsibilities

• Serve as senior relationship leader for an assigned portfolio of Managed Services clients.
• Lead across accounting operations, financial reporting, controls, technology, and process improvements.
• Ensure client satisfaction, engagement economics, and service quality.
• Develop trusted relationships with executives, boards and finance committees.
• Review financial statements for accuracy and presentation; oversee monthly/quarterly reports.
• Mentor staff on client service and accounting best practices; manage engagement teams.
• Promote efficient workflows and use of Sage Intacct and automation.
