Job summary

Baker Tilly is seeking a Senior Manager for its outsourced client accounting practice. In a cloud-based environment, you will act as Accounting Manager for multiple clients across the country, leading a team of professionals.

This role delivers best-in-class service, maintains strong internal controls, and provides financial insights to clients as a trusted business advisor, leveraging Sage Intacct and related tools. A CPA/MBA and public accounting background are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting required
• CPA and/or MBA preferred
• Public accounting or BPO firm experience required
• Eight (8) plus years of experience in professional accounting
• Experience supporting not-for-profit clients is required
• Strong GAAP knowledge
• MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) experience
• Sage Intacct integration with third-party apps experience a plus

Responsibilities

• Serve as the senior relationship leader and trusted advisor for an assigned portfolio of Managed Services clients.
• Provide leadership across accounting operations, financial reporting, internal controls, technology, process improvement, and financial management
• Accountable for client satisfaction and retention, engagement economics, team performance, service quality, and growth of the Managed Services practice
• Oversee client service, developing trusted relationships with executives, boards, and finance committees
• Review financial statements and reporting packages for accuracy and consistency
• Manage production of monthly, quarterly, and financial reports
• Collaborate with managers to ensure efficient workflows across offices and functions
• Coach and mentor staff on client service and accounting matters
• Oversee current engagement teams
• Lead initiatives to improve close cycles, reporting, and controls
• Promote teamwork, training, and workflow management
• Encourage use of Sage Intacct, workflow tools and automation
