The Systems Engineering & Integration teams at Ford Motor Company Advanced EV are responsible for the design, integration, and testing of all core vehicle features & functions including charging, thermal management, motion controls, fault handling, mode management, and more. This role is focused on systems engineering, safety engineering, & systems integration for all core vehicle features & functions. Examples include Power & Mode Management, Health & Fault Management, Connectivity, Body, Closures, Charging, Passive Safety, and Vehicle Access. Responsibilities include architecture leadership (feature, functional, platform, technical, network), requirements (L1, L2, L3), Functional Safety, Test Plans, Analysis, traceability, and more. We specialize in parallel development of prototype functionality and production designs, enabling rapid feature development without significant technical debt. This requires being hands-on with the product to inform architecture & requirements through root cause analysis, prototype integration, and more.
This role also involves ensuring the product meets quality & safety standards by leveraging existing standards and creating innovative approaches to achieve high quality. Our team oversees the entire systems & safety lifecycle during development and integration into serial-production vehicles.
