Base pay range

$120,000.00/yr - $200,000.00/yr

CGS is currently seeking a seasoned Senior Capture and Business Development Associate to assist with identification, capture, evaluation, and development of government contracts for Contact Government Services. You will work closely with the executive team to identify and assess new opportunities and contracts, build relationships and partnerships, capture new business, and develop Jr. Capture and Business Development Associates. The ideal candidate will have expertise in capture analysis, business development, market entry strategy, and corporate planning.

Job Functions may include:
  1. Driving the federal, state, and local government capture team by identifying new opportunities, managing proposals, and providing insights on win themes.
  2. Overseeing enterprise, market strategy, and team development.
  3. Developing long-term growth plans and pipelines of opportunities.
  4. Driving sales and revenue through leveraging sales and staffing teams.
  5. Establishing value-added teaming strategies and competitive pricing.
  6. Leading multi-year planning, business portfolio analysis, and strategic studies for market expansion.
  7. Developing and implementing capture strategies and managing business acquisition processes.
  8. Generating intellectual capital focused on portfolio growth.
  9. Mentoring staff and creating content for development.
  10. Building relationships with potential clients and partners, engaging with senior government contacts at networking events.
Required skills, knowledge, and abilities include:
  • Proven success in identifying and winning new contracts in a small business environment.
  • 6+ years of experience in:
    • Developing long-term growth plans
    • Government proposal capture processes
    • Identifying strategic revenue opportunities
    • Leading enterprise and market strategy activities
  • Experience with corporate strategy or planning.
  • Experience in business development, networking within the technology industry, and leveraging industry connections.
  • Access to key government customers and industry partners.
  • Knowledge of government acquisition processes and lifecycle.
Preferred but not required skills:
  • Strong documentation skills, including technical writing and proposal support.
  • Masters degree or higher education.
  • Client-facing consulting experience.
