Job summary

Cartier North America is seeking a Senior Manager, Network Development to lead end-to-end coordination of retail development projects across North America. You will orchestrate cross-functional teams—from Real Estate, SDP, Retail Operations, HR, Product, Marketing, and Finance—to deliver boutique openings, relocations, and expansions on time and within budget.

Experience in luxury retail, multi-stakeholder leadership, and strong program governance is required.

The Senior Manager, Network Development is responsible for leading the end-to-end coordination of retail development projects from initial business brief through boutique opening on a specific regional scope.
The role acts as the central orchestrator across multiple functions, ensuring strategic alignment, governance, operational readiness, and successful execution of new boutique openings, relocations, renovations and expansions.
The position serves as the key connector between Retail Performance, Real Estate, SDP, Retail Operations, HR, Client, Product, Marketing, Finance, and HQ stakeholders to translate business objectives into executable plans and deliver exceptional boutique openings across North America.

1. Lead Brief Phase Development & Project Definition
  • Coordinate the development of boutique project brief and business cases for new boutiques, relocations and expansions.
  • Consolidate inputs from Commercial, Finance, SDP, Real Estate, Product, and Regional stakeholders.
  • Develop and maintain sales forecasts, boutique ambition, organizational assumptions, and strategic rationale.
  • Facilitate project validation and governance reviews with Regional and HQ partners.
  • Ensure alignment between commercial objectives, operational requirements, and project investment decisions.
  • Support APS launch and transition from concept approval into project execution.
2. Orchestrate 360° Boutique Openings
  • Lead cross-functional taskforces for boutique openings, expansions, and relocations.
  • Establish and manage integrated project plans covering all workstreams, including:
    • Retail Operations
    • HR & Recruitment
    • Product & Assortment
    • Client Development
    • Marketing & Communications
    • Training & Learning
    • IT & Security
    • Facilities & Services
  • Ensure timely delivery of milestones, dependencies, and critical path activities.
  • Drive risk identification, mitigation plans, and escalation where necessary.
  • Maintain executive visibility and governance throughout project execution.
3. Governance, Planning & Stakeholder Management
  • Establish project governance frameworks and meeting cadences.
  • Facilitate decision-making among cross-functional and international stakeholders.
  • Prepare executive-level updates, steering committees, and ExCo presentations.
  • Define ownership, responsibilities, and RACI models throughout project lifecycles.
  • Build strong partnerships across Regional, HQ, and Richemont functions to ensure project success.
4. Operational Readiness & Boutique Launch
  • Lead readiness assessments from 18 months pre-opening through launch and post-opening stabilization.
  • Coordinate recruitment, training, client strategy, operational readiness, assortment planning, and boutique activation.
  • Ensure all functions are aligned to opening objectives and timelines.
  • Drive lessons learned and continuous improvement following openings.
  • Orchestrate the post-opening phase, including continuous improvement based on the learnings of the development and operations on site after the opening.
5. Project Management Excellence
  • Develop and maintain project management tools, dashboards, critical paths, and reporting standards.
  • Track progress, risks, budget impacts, and key decisions across all projects.
  • Standardize methodologies and best practices for boutique opening governance.
  • Contribute to the ongoing evolution of the Network Development operating model.
Profile
Education & Experience
  • Bachelor\'s or Master\'s degree in Business, Engineering, Architecture, Project Management, Retail Management, or related field.
  • 8–10 years of experience in project management, retail development, operations, or luxury retail.
  • Proven experience leading large-scale, cross-functional projects with multiple stakeholders.
  • Experience in boutique development, retail expansion, store openings, hospitality, or luxury environments strongly preferred.
Technical Skills
  • Strong project management expertise.
