Job summary

Bowman Consulting Group, Ltd. in Tucson, AZ seeks a Senior Manager, Process and Metal to lead advanced metallurgical process design, optimization, and project execution for mining and mineral processing initiatives.

This role requires a strong technical background, 10+ years of experience, and PE/QP preferred, with responsibilities spanning simulations, P&ID development, safety and regulatory compliance, and collaboration with cross-disciplinary teams to deliver cost-efficient solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in metallurgical or chemical engineering required.
• Ten+ years of mining/mineral processing or consulting experience.
• QP or PE license preferred.
• Proficiency in MetSim, SysCAD, and MS Office.
• Familiarity with NI-43-101 feasibility studies.
• Knowledge of ASME and MSHA codes.

Responsibilities

• Lead process design and optimization for metallurgical plants.
• Perform process simulations and mass/energy balances.
• Develop process flow sheets and P&IDs.
• Support project planning, cost estimation, and scheduling.
• Ensure safety, environmental, and quality standards.
• Prepare technical reports and client deliverables.
• Mentor junior engineers and coordinate with cross-disciplinary teams.
