Job summary

Stella Rising, a leading marketing and media agency in New York, seeks a Senior Manager, Media Strategy & Activation to oversee campaign planning, activation, and optimization. You will connect strategic goals to tactical channel recommendations, guiding junior staff and coordinating across teams.

You will lead cross-channel media tactics, leverage research tools, and present plans to clients while fostering strong relationships and delivering measurable results.

Responsibilities

As Senior Manager, Media Strategy & Activation you oversee all aspects of campaign planning, activation, optimization strategies, and the overall success of campaign performance. Your responsibility includes understanding how our high-level strategy filters down to tactical recommendations within the given channels. Your growing involvement in connecting clients' business goals to the development of strategic plans strengthens your ability to liaise between the vertical and channel teams, ensuring seamless collaboration across the agency.

Regular Responsibilities but not limited to:

• Manage all aspects of media plan preparation and participate in strategic execution with junior team members.
• Connect research and data-driven media insights to guide strategic planning.
• Present team-approved tactical media plans to clients and confidently field client questions.
• Guide channel leads in campaign management and identify performance concerns.
• Oversee budget and pacing and maintain accuracy of client flowcharts.
• Manage third-party campaign performance, identify and approve optimizations that deliver on client media objectives throughout the campaign flight.
• Foster strong client relationships.
• Guide onboarding, learning and development, goal setting, and mentoring for more junior members of the strategy team.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Proven expertise in cross-channel media tactics and planning.
• Advancing leadership and team management skills.
• Mastery of research tools (MRI, Comscore, Pathmatics, eMarketer, etc.)
• Solid understanding of media analytics.
• Basic understanding of digital ad operations and platforms.
• Proficiency with reporting tools (GA4, DCM, Datarama).
• Strategic thinker and problem-solving capabilities.
• Excellent communication (including presentation skills) and collaboration skills (internal team & external clients)
• High-level understanding of media platforms (Meta, TikTok, Google, and Programmatic)
• Expert knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint.
• Bachelor’s degree in marketing or related field preferred.
