Job summary

The National Hockey League (NHL) is seeking a detail‑driven professional to support the International Broadcast team in a hybrid New York role. You will liaise with international media rightsholders, ensure contractual obligations are fulfilled, and help manage programming, content distribution and on-site operational tasks during NHL events and broadcasts.

The ideal candidate has 3–5 years in broadcast operations, strong project management and excellent communication, with flexibility to work

Summary
WHAT WE EXPECT OF YOU

Supports the day-to-day operations of the International Broadcast team, serving as a liaison between the NHL and its international media rightsholders. This role supports international broadcast operations, programming, marketing initiatives, content distribution, and administrative functions while ensuring contractual obligations are fulfilled, promotional materials are delivered on time, and operational processes run efficiently. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced sports media environment.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities
  • Provide day-to-day support to the International Broadcast team and serve as a point of contact for broadcaster inquiries.
  • Track and report on rightsholder selections, contractual obligations, and fulfillment of NHL and partner requirements.
  • Regularly review broadcaster output to ensure compliance with league standards and quality expectations.
  • Coordinate and approve broadcast tune-in materials for international rightsholders to ensure localization and brand consistency.
  • Provide technical, logistical, and on-site operational support for international rightsholders during NHL events and broadcasts.
  • Supports efforts for domestic (US) games distribution planning and execution.
  • Assist in correspondence and monitoring performance of local games distribution via US MVPDs.
  • Manage player signing opportunities and oversee the coordination of the international giveaways program.
  • Coordinate with the Sponsorship and International rightsholders to facilitate digitally enhanced dasherboards (DED) opportunities and execution.
  • Distribute broadcast content and marketing assets across digital portals used by international rightsholders.
  • Assist with special projects, event planning, and operational initiatives as assigned.
Qualifications
Knowledge Areas/Experience
Required
  • 3-5 years of experience in broadcast operations, sports media, marketing, or a related industry.
Education/Certifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Sports Management, Communications, Broadcasting, Marketing, Business, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.

SALARY RANGE

$100-105k

Actual base pay for a successful candidate will be determined based on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to: experience/training, market demands, and geographic location.
