Job summary

Amgen Ohio is seeking a Senior Manager of Manufacturing Systems Engineering to lead performance, reliability, and development of automated warehouse systems including ASRS, AGVs, AutoStore, and warehouse control systems.

The role involves directing 24/7 engineering teams, overseeing system troubleshooting, and driving upgrades and lifecycle planning to ensure continuous operations in a biotech manufacturing setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field.
• 8+ years of experience in automation, manufacturing systems, or logistics.
• Preferred experience with ASRS, AGVs, automated warehouses, regulated environments, and complex troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

• Manage engineering teams supporting 24/7 automated material handling operations.
• Oversee system troubleshooting and rapid fault isolation.
• Drive performance optimization of warehouse automation systems.
• Perform lifecycle management of ASRS, AGVs, AutoStore and related control systems.
• Coordinate integration with manufacturing lines and SAP EWM.
• Lead system expansion, continuous improvement and validation to meet quality and safety standards.
• Collaborate with Facilities & Engineering and Global Engineering to maintain system integrity and implement upgrades.
