Job summary

RTX, the world’s largest aerospace and defense company, seeks a Manager of Manufacturing Operations in East Hartford. You will drive industrial rate readiness for Military Engines development programs and partner with R&D to deliver quality, cost, and schedule goals onsite.

You will manage parts sourcing, engineering changes, and the program industrial plan while coordinating with CIPTs, Module Centers, partners, and global supply chain.

Qualifications

• University degree and minimum 10 years' experience in manufacturing, operations management, program/project management or similar industrial environment or an advanced degree with 7 years' related experience.
• U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance

Responsibilities

• Delivery assurance, supply chain sourcing and mitigation, operations assessments, ensuring timely transitions execution, with creation and completion of industrial plans
• Manage critical engineering changes to keep program commitment dates; development also encompasses new product introduction
• Support all program activities with the coordination and maintenance of the program industrial plan along with CIPTs, Module Centers, Partner Companies and Global Supply Chain
• Monitored part improvements through a series of Key Process Indicators and standard delivery metrics
• Support testing operations and work closely in vendor/partner relationships. Work closely with subject matter design and manufacturing engineering to help solve problems and mitigate risks
• Collaborate with counterparts across programs to manage priorities
• Manage activity for a small team of Industrial Leads
• Coordinate/prepare/present content for Program Industrial Reviews
• Up to 25% regional, domestic travel

What You Will Do

In this highly visible role, the Manager, Manufacturing Operations, will drive industrial rate readiness throughout the Value Stream for the Military Engines development programs. This person will also have the unique opportunity to partner with the research and development team.

The Manager, Manufacturing Operations, is responsible for working with the program to drive the delivery, quality, and cost goals, while also focusing on identifying and mitigating risk in the short to long term.

• Master's degree in Industrial, Mechanical, Manufacturing or Aerospace Engineering

Compensation and Benefits

The salary range for this role is 132,400 USD - 251,600 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
