Job summary

Insulet Corporation is seeking a Manager, Equipment Vision Engineering to lead machine vision and instrumentation, shaping evaluation, inspection standards, and automation for a dynamic medical-device manufacturing environment.

You will lead a technical community, drive cost-effective hardware and software solutions, and collaborate across disciplines to maximize yield, OEE, and quality.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, CS, or related field with 10+ years in machine vision in manufacturing.
• Master's degree with 5+ years in machine vision preferred.
• 2+ years of people leadership experience.

Responsibilities

• Establish and manage machine inspection standards.
• Drive machine vision solutions architecture and execution.
• Standardize vision inspection approaches across vendors, engineering and production machines.
• Ensure compliance with FDA/health/safety/environmental regulations.
• Develop and plan machine vision inspection performance models.
• Analyze failures to reduce false rejects and identify root causes.
• Communicate development schedules to production teams and vendors.
• Coordinate with vendor support for vision system programming.
• Validate upgrades and enhancements to vision systems.
• Review production KPIs with teams and leadership.
• Develop technician skills and provide coaching to engineers and technicians.
• Conduct Layered Process Audits in appropriate work areas.
