Job summary

Veralto is seeking a Senior Manager for Mergers & Acquisitions Accounting in the Boston area to lead acquisition accounting, partnering with Corporate Development, Finance, Tax and operating company teams to design and execute valuation work for acquisitions, divestitures, and investments.

Reporting to the Corporate Controller, you will provide technical leadership across a global organization, oversee integration of acquisitions, support SEC disclosures, and drive adoption of technology

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (CPA preferred).
  • 7+ years of experience in a large, international, public accounting firm or multinational company.
  • Expert knowledge of ASC 805 acquisition accounting, including third‑party purchase price allocations, contingent consideration, call/put options, and fair value adjustments.
  • Expert knowledge of ASC 350 and 360 impairment accounting for intangible assets, goodwill, and long‑lived assets.
  • Experience supporting accounting matters in multinational and public‑company environments.
  • Ability to partner effectively with external auditors and support SEC disclosure and external reporting processes.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with Corporate Development to address technical, acquisition‑related issues and facilitate transition of due diligence findings to operating company management.
  • Facilitate purchase price allocations and other valuations of newly acquired businesses.
  • Collaborate with acquired company finance teams to prepare and review opening balance sheets.
  • Interface with external auditors on the review of opening balance sheets, valuation results, and Sarbanes‑Oxley compliance matters.
  • Evaluate and propose initial accounting for minority investments, convertible debt, equity‑method investments, and LP/LLC activities.
  • Review portfolio investments for impairment indicators and fair‑value adjustments arising from new financing rounds, and make recommendations on accounting.
  • Work with Corporate Tax to understand acquisition‑related step‑plans and related accounting requirements for global tax strategy planning.
  • Drive adoption of technology and tools, including AI and Alteryx, in corporate accounting activities.
  • Support quarterly and annual SEC disclosure and external reporting processes.
  • Provide financial and business analytic support to corporate functional areas as required.
  • Oversee integration of acquisitions, including monitoring purchase accounting activity and post‑acquisition integration activities.
  • Provide direct and indirect oversight of other associates on the Corporate Accounting Team as required.
  • Participate in global finance projects and initiatives aimed at improving efficiency, standardization, and best‑practice creation.
