Job summary

Uber Freight US LLC in Frisco, TX is seeking a Manager, Logistics Engineering to lead advanced optimization projects and guide analytics-driven decisions for transportation networks. You will coordinate cross-functional teams, apply client requirements to models, and present strategic recommendations to executives.

Role requires MS in Industrial Engineering or related field, extensive experience with Coupa, SQL, Tableau, Python, and Gurobi, plus 5 years in logistics/transport optimization.

Qualifications

• Requires a Master of Science degree in Industrial Engineering or related field.
• Requires certifications in Coupa Supply Chain Design, Coupa Network Optimization, Coupa Vehicle Route Optimization, SAS 9 Enterprise Miner, and related SAS analytics credentials.
• Requires 5 years of experience solving real-time transportation strategy problems through scenario analysis.
• 5 years presenting data to executive management and providing actionable recommendations.
• 5 years building and managing large SQL databases and BI using Tableau for analytics.
• 5 years building optimization models using Coupa Supply Chain Guru.
• 5 years in Supply Chain Management and Transportation industries.
• 5 years leading large optimization projects and managing timelines/resources.
• 5 years facilitating customer communication and delivering project milestones.
• 3 years in Google Cloud Platform Tools: Data Fusion, BigQuery, Composer.
• 3 years in Python, C++, VBA, Gurobi, and Simio.
• 3 years automating data analytics with Alteryx.
• 3 years using Generative AI and Agentic AI for content with minimal oversight.
• 3 years with Google Docs, Sheets, Slides.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate SME assignments with cross-functional teams and track project milestones.
• Ensure deliverables meet customer expectations in timeliness and quality.
• Apply customer requirements to Uber Freight optimization models.
• Use advanced modeling to optimize transportation and distribution networks.
• Leverage Uber Freight data for research and development.
• Model client networks and conduct scenario analyses for strategic decisions.
• Manage logistics engineers and contractors and communicate with clients.
• Present findings to executive management and defend recommendations.
