Job summary

Uber Freight is seeking a Lead Logistics Engineer to design, analyze, and optimize complex freight networks at scale. The role blends data, technology, and operations to drive efficiency, service, and profitability across the network.

You will work with Product, Operations, Data Science, and Leadership to translate insights into scalable solutions, leveraging SQL, Python, and GCP for analysis and dashboards.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in logistics, transportation, freight brokerage, or supply chain related roles.
• Advanced proficiency in SQL and Excel (complex formulas, scenario modeling).
• Experience with Python for data analysis and modeling is a plus.
• Familiarity with Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Experience with data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI).

Responsibilities

• Analyze and optimize freight routing, capacity utilization, and cost structures across complex networks.
• Develop repeatable analytical frameworks and dashboards for network performance monitoring.
• Partner with leadership to deliver scenario analyses and data-backed recommendations.
• Create detailed documentation and knowledge transfer materials for scalability and reuse.
• Communicate complex concepts clearly with visual design, storytelling, and written documentation.
