Job summary

NBCUniversal seeks a Senior Manager in Legal Innovation & Operations to own e-billing, invoicing, spend analytics, and vendor management within the Legal Department. You will partner with attorneys, Finance, and Procurement to keep spend visible and compliant, driving cost-saving opportunities.

Responsibilities include configuring the e-billing system, managing invoice lifecycle, implementing AI-assisted review, and delivering leadership-ready reports and dashboards. Hybrid work is required.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in legal spend management, e-billing, or related systems.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience in finance or related field.
• Ability to learn new legal, financial, and analytics technologies.
• Solid understanding of budgeting, forecasting, accrual management, and spend reporting.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills for data analysis.

Responsibilities

• Own the day-to-day operation of the Legal Department's e-billing and matter-management platform.
• Manage the invoice lifecycle from intake through payment and reconcile with guidelines.
• Identify and document billing-compliance issues and resolve routine discrepancies.
• Lead implementation of AI-assisted invoice review and spend analytics.
• Run accrual-collection process with outside counsel and providers.
• Prepare recurring spend reports and scorecards; validate data inputs.
• Analyze spend by legal group, firm, matter and surface cost-saving opportunities.
• Coordinate supplier and system setup with Finance, Procurement and Accounts Payable.
• Serve as primary contact for law firms and vendors on billing requirements.
