Sr. Manager, Learning Experience Design – Verizon Value Indirect Sales

The Verizon Value Indirect Sales organization drives strategic programs and initiatives for Total Wireless, Simple Mobile, and Verizon Prepaid, ensuring channel readiness and sales excellence across exclusive and multi-carrier authorized retail channels.

As a Sr. Manager of Training, you will be responsible for leading the training strategy and execution for the Verizon Value Indirect Sales channel, ensuring frontline teams and retailers are equipped with the knowledge and resources needed to drive sales performance and customer experience.

In This Role, You Will:

  1. Oversee the design and UX of LMS training platform ensuring a visually engaging and intuitive experience for frontline teams and retailers.
  2. Own the design and UX of “The HUB” digital resource center, along with all content, resources and materials to deliver a first class digital first learning experience.
  3. Manage the creation of graphic design assets, including presentation, job aides, digital guides, and multimedia content that enhance learning and retention.
  4. Lead video production and editing efforts to develop high quality training videos, incorporating motion graphics, animations, and interactive elements to drive engagement.
  5. Design high quality, engaging and interactive On Line Training courses (OLTs) as needed for new product and value prop enhancements launch.
  6. Collaborate cross functionally with peers to ensure high quality digital UX/CX training programs are cohesive with other training materials and assets developed to serve all types of learners.
  7. Facilitate in person and virtual leader led training programs, including new hire training and continued education programs.
  8. Manage multiple complex training and communication initiatives simultaneously, prioritizing them to align with business needs and long-term goals.
  9. Collaborate cross-functionally with internal and external partners, including Sales Go to Channel, Legal, Client Management, Value VOC, and third-party vendors (Mosaic, T-Cetra, etc.), to ensure alignment with channel priorities.
  10. Develop and implement training processes and frameworks, identifying opportunities for innovation and improvement.
  11. Communicate effectively with stakeholders, leadership, and frontline teams to drive engagement and adoption of training initiatives.
  12. Contribute to the training function within Verizon Value Indirect Sales, ensuring alignment with broader channel strategies and objectives.
  13. Make key decisions for training strategy and execution, using subject matter expertise and strategic thinking.

You’ll need to have:

  1. Bachelor’s degree or four or more years equivalent work experience.
  2. Six or more years of relevant experience required, demonstrated through one or a combination of work and/or military experience, or specialized training.
  3. Six or more years of Training and/or Communications experience.
  4. Six or more years of Program and/or project management experience.

Even better if you have one or more of the following:

  1. MBA, or an M.S. in a related field.
  2. Excellent verbal & written communication, copywriting, editing, and proofreading skills.
  3. Proficiency in graphic design tools (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite, or similar).
  4. Experience in video production and editing (e.g., Adobe Premier Pro, Final Cut, Camtasia, or similar) to create high-quality training videos.
  5. Understanding of UX/UI principles to optimize the design and usability of training resources and digital learning experiences.
  6. Ability to work in a cross-functional team environment with changing and evolving roles and responsibilities.
  7. Excellent executive presentation skills.
  8. A team player orientation collaborating well with others.
  9. A passion for delivering exceptional experiences to partners and consumers.
  10. Self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision.
  11. Experience with development and governance of frontline Resources.
  12. Experience developing training content and governance of LMS platforms.
  13. Experience developing and managing UX for Training and Resource platforms.
  14. Project Management Professional (PMP) certification, VLSS certification in Green Belt or Black Belt.
  15. Experience working with external partners and/or vendors.
  16. Experience in the Verizon Value segment.
Where you’ll be working

In this hybrid role, you'll have a defined work location that includes work from home and a minimum eight assigned office days per month that will be set by your manager.

If you are hired into a California, Colorado, Connecticut, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, Nevada, New York, Rhode Island, Washington or Washington, D.C. work location, the compensation range for this position is between $128,000.00 and $238,000.00 annually based on a full-time schedule. The salary will vary depending on your location and confirmed job-related skills and experience. This is an incentive based position with the potential to earn more. For part time roles, your compensation will be adjusted to reflect your hours.
