Senior Manager, IT Asset Management (ITAM)

Lead the strategy, governance, and execution of a global IT Asset Management function within a large, complex enterprise environment. Accountable for establishing enterprise standards, driving governance maturity, and ensuring IT assets are managed as strategic business resources across their full lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

• Define and lead the global IT Asset Management strategy, aligning ITAM practices with enterprise technology, sourcing, financial, and risk objectives.
• Lead a worldwide ITAM organization, establishing operating models, roles, and performance expectations across regions.
• Standardize IT Asset Management practices across hardware, software, SaaS, and emerging technology domains.
• Position ITAM as a core enterprise capability supporting cost optimization, compliance, risk management, and executive decision‑making.
• Serve as the business and governance owner of the Flexera One IT Asset Management and IT Visibility platforms, setting vision and standards while delegating hands‑on configuration to operational teams.
• Ensure Flexera is leveraged for accurate asset visibility, license integrity, audit readiness, compliance posture, and technology spend optimization.
• Oversee integrations with enterprise systems (ITSM, procurement, discovery, ERP) ensuring data quality without technical integration duties.
• Establish and lead enterprise IT Asset Governance, partnering with IT, procurement, finance, security, and legal.
• Own enterprise approach to software and hardware entitlements, licensing strategy, and compliance risk management.
• Guide vendor audit strategy and executive‑level risk discussions.
• Deliver executive‑ready reporting on asset health, financial exposure, compliance status, and optimization opportunities.
• Ensure IT Asset Management practices are aligned with ITIL‑based service management processes.
• Partner with ITSM and architecture teams to support CMDB, service models, and lifecycle workflows.
• Use ITAM insights to strengthen change decisions, service reliability, and financial transparency.
• Lead continuous improvement of ITAM governance, maturity, and outcomes across the enterprise.
• Drive measurable business value such as reduced audit risk, improved compliance, optimized spend, and better asset lifecycle decisions.
• Translate technical data into business‑focused insights and recommendations for senior leadership.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or related field.
• Ten years of experience in IT Asset Management, Software Asset Management, or related enterprise leadership roles.

Preferred Qualifications

• Success leading large‑scale, global ITAM programs in complex or federated organizations.
• Strong working knowledge of Flexera One IT Asset Management and IT Visibility.
• Deep understanding of IT asset lifecycle, entitlement management, and governance frameworks.
• Solid background in ITIL‑aligned service management and collaboration with CMDB/ITSM teams.
• Proven ability to influence across executive, functional, and geographic boundaries.

Location & Travel

• On site in Maplewood, MN or Austin, TX.
• May include up to 10% domestic and international travel.
• Relocation assistance available.

Compensation

The expected compensation range for this position is $221,591 - $270,834, which includes base pay plus variable incentive pay, if eligible.
