Job summary

The Columbus Regional Airport Authority is hiring for a senior HR leader to guide strategic and operational human resources across the organization. You will shape compensation and benefits, oversee payroll and HR systems, and lead talent acquisition and development initiatives.

Based in Columbus, OH, the role reports to executive leadership and plays a key part in sustaining a diverse and high-performing workforce that supports CRAA’s mission to connect Ohio with the world.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in HR, Business or related field.
  • Minimum seven years of progressive HR leadership experience.

  • Provide strategic and operational leadership for assigned HR functions including talent acquisition, employee engagement and culture, learning & development, compensation, benefits and wellness, payroll, and HR systems & technology.
  • Oversee Total Rewards program development, communication, and renewal processes.
  • Lead HR systems oversight, payroll operations, data integrity and regulatory compliance.
  • Drive organizational learning, leadership development, and employee onboarding initiatives.

The Columbus Regional Airport Authority manages and operates passenger-focused John Glenn Columbus International Airport (CMH), cargo-focused Rickenbacker International Airport (LCK), and general aviation airport Bolton Field (TZR).   • Provides strategic and operational leadership for assigned HR functions including talent acquisition, employee engagement and culture, learning & development, compensation, benefits and wellness, leave of absence programs, payroll, and HR systems & technology
  • Oversees the development, composition, execution and communication of CRAA’s Total Rewards Program, including benefits, wellness, employee recognition, leave of absence programs, and worker’s compensation.
  • Leads the annual renewal process for CRAA’s self-insured and insured benefit plans.
  • Provides strategic oversight of HR systems and payroll operations, ensuring data integrity, operational efficiency, regulatory compliance, and continuous process improvement.
  • Oversees organizational learning, leadership development, and organizational development initiatives that strengthen workforce capability, leadership effectiveness, and organizational performance.
  • Oversees employee onboarding and employee experience initiatives that foster engagement, retention, organizational culture, and a successful employee.lifecycle.
  • Leads the organization’s talent acquisition strategy, including workforce planning, recruitment, sourcing, employer branding, and selection processes to attract and retain top talent.
  • Administers compensation practices by evaluating pay structures, supporting salary decisions, and helping maintain internal and external equity.
  • Oversees budget preparation, monitoring and approval of purchased goods, services and staff travel for the HR team and related programs.
  • Collaborates with HR leadership, organizational leaders, and cross-functional partners to support organizational change initiatives, workforce planning, various HR initiatives and projects, and strategic HR priorities.
  • Leads, coaches, and develops assigned HR staff while fostering collaboration, accountability, continuous improvement, and exceptional customer service.
  • Monitors changes in applicable federal, state, and local employment laws and recommends policy, program, or procedural changes to maintain compliance.
  • Performs related work as required.

Your “Landing” will be smooth if you meet the following requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Organizational Development, or a related field
  • Minimum seven (7) years of experience in Human Resources with progressive responsibility, including demonstrated experience leading multiple HR functions and demonstrated experience leading and developing a professional, high-performing team; equivalent education and years of experience considered
  • PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP preferred
  • Able to pass a pre-employment drug test, which includes testing for marijuana (medical marijuana cards are not acceptable)
  • Salary range for this position is $140,000.00 - $155,000.00. The offered salary is evaluated using internal equity, job knowledge, skills, experience, and other key factors.
