The Columbus Regional Airport Authority (CRAA) oversees CMH, LCK, and TZR, driving passenger experiences and economic growth across Ohio.

We are seeking a senior executive to lead strategic infrastructure, asset renewal and maintenance plans, while directing airfield operations, fleet lifecycle management, and capital budgeting. Strong leadership, collaboration, and aviation sector knowledge are essential for this role.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Aviation Management, Business Administration, Finance or a related field.
  • Minimum of nine years of progressively responsible airport asset/facility management experience.
  • Knowledge of FAA Part 139 certification requirements and airport infrastructure.
  • Accredited Airport Executive (A.A.E.) certification strongly preferred.
  • Experience in a union environment strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Develop strategic infrastructure, asset renewal, and maintenance plans aligned with organizational priorities, operational requirements and available resources.
  • Provide leadership and oversight for terminal facilities maintenance, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire protection systems, conveyances, CCTV, building automation systems, access control systems and baggage handling systems.
  • Direct airfield maintenance operations, including maintenance of runways, taxiways, aprons, perimeter roads, drainage systems, pavement markings, airfield signage, airfield lighting systems and associated infrastructure.
  • Provide strategic oversight of airfield fleet operations, including lifecycle management, procurement planning, maintenance, replacement scheduling, utilization and reliability of specialized airport vehicles and equipment.
  • Develop and manage operating and capital budgets, monitor financial performance and ensure achievement of budgetary and operational performance targets.
  • Promote a customer‑focused culture throughout operations and support services utilizing passenger satisfaction metrics, and partner with airport stakeholders such as airlines, concessions and service providers to continuously improve accessibility, wayfinding and the overall passenger experience.
  • Lead, coach and develop managers, supervisors and frontline employees, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, innovation and continuous improvement.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Aviation Management, Business Administration, Finance or a related field and a minimum of nine (9) years of progressively responsible management experience in an airport asset and/or facility management environment, or equivalent education and experience.
  • Demonstrated success leading high‑performing teams.
  • Strong strategic thinking, planning and analysis skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and foster collaborative relationships.
  • Experience in a union environment strongly preferred.
  • Knowledge of FAA Part 139 certification requirements, airport infrastructure and airfield maintenance practices, fleet maintenance and equipment lifecycle planning, building systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, conveyances, access control systems) and baggage handling system operations and maintenance.
  • Accredited Airport Executive (A.A.E.) certification strongly preferred.
