Job summary

THE·TEAM is seeking a driven events lead to produce and oversee events from strategy through completion, enhancing THE·TEAM’s visibility in the marketplace. This role will manage multiple workstreams under senior leadership, delivering outstanding, high-touch experiences that meet quality expectations and ROI targets.

This position requires 5+ years in high-end event management, hospitality or corporate events, a related degree, and a strong portfolio. Travel is expected as needed.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in high-end event management, hospitality, and/or corporate events.
  • Bachelor’s degree in hospitality management, marketing or related field.
  • Proven experience as an event planner or organizer.
  • Impressive portfolio of previously managed events.
  • Excellent customer service, time management and communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Act as a subject matter expert on B2B hosting, hospitality, and relevant industry knowledge.
  • Identify strategic opportunities and deliver best-in-class solutions to the client.
  • Develop and deliver polished client deliverables and other critical framework materials.
  • Ideation, operations, and delivery of numerous hospitality projects.
  • Manage project budgets from initial build through reconciliation.
  • Maintain relationships with partners, vendors, and properties.
  • Set and maintain timelines on every project.
  • Research, planning, and execution of site visits.
  • Manage on-site execution, including setup, staffing, guest logistics, stakeholder communications, vendor organization.
  • Collaborate with other THE·TEAM service teams.
  • Anticipate challenges and handle issues to ensure flawless execution.
  • Deliver quality events meeting or exceeding client expectations.
  • Provide feedback and periodic reports to stakeholders.
  • Conduct post–event evaluations and ROI analyses.
  • Understand client's business landscape and industry contexts.
  • Develop strong client and partner relationships for future events.

This role will be responsible for leading individual event workstreams under senior leadership in addition to showcasing outstanding, forward-thinking service and organizing memorable high-touch events that meet quality expectations.WHAT YOU'LL DO:Act as a subject matter expert on B2B hosting, hospitality, and relative industry knowledgeShowcase forward-thinking initiative to identify the best strategic opportunities and deliver best-in-class solutions to the clientDevelop and deliver polished client deliverables and other critical framework materials to support client decision-makingIdeation, operations, and delivery of numerous hospitality projects, informed by established hospitality strategyManage project budgets from initial build through reconciliationMaintain a working relationship with existing partners, vendors, and properties on behalf of the client and THE·TEAMSet, communicate and maintain timelines on every project to remain ahead of client expectationsResearch, planning, and execution of site visits on behalf of client and projectsManage event on-site execution, including set-up, staffing, guest logistics, stakeholder communications, vendor organization and problem-solvingCore knowledge of all THE·TEAM service offerings, including proactive identification of when to involve related teams in project-related or independent needsCollaboration with other THE·TEAM service teams as necessary based on project needAnticipate challenges and proactively handle any arising issues across various entities to ensure flawless executionDeliver quality events that meet (and hopefully exceed) client expectationsProvide feedback and periodic reports to stakeholders as necessaryConduct post–event evaluations and recaps to showcase event success and ROIUnderstand the landscape of our client’s business/sector, as well as the industry contexts for their investmentsConfidently comprehend the role of hospitality programs as it relates to individual client business objectives and the “big picture”Garner strong client and partner relationships for future events, including possessing a strong working knowledge of THE·TEAM capabilities to further these opportunitiesWHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR:Minimum 5 years of experience in high-end event management, hospitality, and/or corporate events industry, preferably in sports or entertainmentBachelor’s degree in hospitality management, marketing or related fieldProven experience as an event planner or organizer, preferably in the high-end hosting spaceImpressive portfolio of previously managed eventsSelf-starter who requires minimal supervision to meet and carry out event and service responsibilitiesExcellent customer service, time management and communication skillsBasic sales skills and ability to build productive business/vendor relationshipsAbility to identify and maximize event opportunitiesAbility to prioritize and manage multiple projects independentlyUp-to-date and informed knowledge of the sports and entertainment industriesHigh level of initiative and interpersonal skills and ability to work well independently and in a team environmentGenuine passion for hospitality, events, and hostingNegotiation experienceSelf-motivation, enthusiasm and willingness to learnStrong attention to detail and highly organizedProficiency in Microsoft Office applications (extensive expertise in Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel) and knowledge of common event management softwareUnderstanding of KeyNoteElevated understanding of marketing and promotion techniquesAbility to assess a situation and quickly recommend solutionsWorking knowledge of project management fundamentalsMust be able to multi-task and be flexible enough to react under fast-paced, stressful circumstances and tight deadlinesMust be flexible and willing to travel (multi-day, weekends and short-notice travel expected)Base salary range: $68K-80K, plus bonus potential if applicable for role.Actual base salary is dependent on several factors including but not limited to; market dynamics, location and region, experience, specialized skills/training (education), level of responsibility, budgetary considerations, tenure at the company (for current employees), etc. The salary range listed is just one component of the total compensation package for employees.
