Job summary

GridStor is seeking an experienced Senior Manager / Director, Load Interconnection & Grid Integration to lead the technical strategy and execution of large load interconnections for hyperscale data centers across North America. This role oversees Front-of-the-Meter and Behind-the-Meter interconnections, coordinating with utilities, ISOs/RTOs, and EPCs to deliver reliable, scalable power solutions.

The ideal candidate has deep expertise in transmission planning, EMT modeling, and utility

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
• 10+ years in transmission planning or power systems engineering.
• Experience with hyperscale data center interconnections.
• Knowledge of ISO/RTO markets (PJM, ERCOT, CAISO).
• Experience with PSCAD, PSS/E, PSLF, EMTP-RV, PowerFactory, ETAP.
• Strong project management, communication, and stakeholder skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead interconnection strategy across ERCOT, CAISO, PJM, MISO, SPP, WECC.
• Manage end-to-end interconnection processes and negotiations.
• Develop technical solutions for BESS and hybrid energy projects.
• Serve as primary technical interface with utilities, ISOs/RTOs, and vendors.
• Evaluate data center power architectures and redundancy strategies.
• Lead transmission planning, power flow, EMT, and system studies.
• Coordinate testing and model validation with OEMs and EPCs.
• Monitor ISO/regulatory changes and adapt strategy.
• Mentor internal teams and external consultants.
