Job summary

Hanwha Defense USA is seeking a Senior Manager – Govt Shipbuilding Business Development to drive government opportunities and lead communications campaigns with DoD leadership. This role requires deep DoD experience, DoD acquisition fluency, and strong relationship-building across DoW, DoN, and industry partners.

You will collaborate across HDUSA Shipbuilding to identify, qualify, and win opportunities, plan capture strategies, and coordinate messaging with Hanwha affiliates nationwide.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of DoW experience.
• Experience with Navy programs and budgeting.
• Experience with the DoW acquisition and procurement processes.
• Strong understanding of the U.S. naval landscape and acquisition pathways.
• Proven ability to build and maintain customer and partner relationships.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Identify and develop Government opportunities aligned with HDUSA Shipbuilding strategy.
• Support communications campaigns for strategic captures.
• Grow opportunity pipeline through early engagement and pre-RFP shaping.
• Build and strengthen relationships across DoW, DoN, and government partners.
• Collaborate with HDUSA functions to align pursuits and customer needs.
• Provide leadership insight on product development opportunities and market strategies.
• Develop and execute capture strategies including win themes and teaming.
• Coordinate with Hanwha affiliates to align messaging.
• Evaluate potential M&A opportunities and support due diligence.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
