Job summary

Hanwha Defense USA is seeking a Director of Supply Chain to lead and develop the procurement and supply chain function for production programs in shipbuilding. You will establish strategic direction, processes, and an organization to ensure compliant, cost‑effective sourcing of materials and services for production operations.

You will build and mentor a high‑performing team, drive supplier performance, and oversee global supplier relationships while coordinating with Production, Engineering,

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management or related field required.
• 10+ years of progressive procurement or supply chain experience.
• Experience in defense and shipbuilding industry strongly preferred.
• Proven ability to lead and scale procurement teams.

Responsibilities

• Establish and lead the procurement strategy for shipbuilding materials and services.
• Oversee supplier sourcing, selection, qualification, and performance management.
• Direct complex contract negotiations and cost‑reduction initiatives.
• Manage procurement for capital projects and EPC scopes as required.
• Ensure compliance with Incoterms and import/export regulations.
• Coordinate with cross‑functional teams to align procurement with objectives.
• Drive risk management and supplier contingency planning.
• Develop KPIs and dashboards to monitor cost, quality, and delivery.
