Job summary

Airwallex is seeking a Senior Manager, Obligations Management to lead the central governance infrastructure for regulatory and financial partner obligations across its global footprint. You will own the global obligations register, RFI knowledge base, and audit register, ensuring traceability and timely remediation.

Qualifications

• 8–10+ years in corporate governance, regulatory compliance, internal audit, or risk management in a regulated financial services or fintech environment.
• 3+ years managing a compliance inventory, regulatory obligations framework, audit issue program, or GRC in a multi-jurisdictional setting.
• Experience mapping internal controls to regulatory requirements and coordinating evidence or RFI responses.
• Ability to translate complex regulatory requirements into clear processes, data structures, and reporting.
• Strong written communication and coordination across a global, matrixed organization.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and continuously improve the central Global Obligations Register and catalog obligations with controls.
• Coordinate with Risk and Compliance for structured monitoring, validation, and testing.
• Manage the centralized RFI knowledge base and evidence portfolios for banking partners and regulators.
• Maintain the global audit register and drive remediation and closure of issues.
• Collaborate with Regulatory Legal to keep the registry current and reduce gaps.
• Establish and improve operating procedures, data standards, governance, and reporting.
• Identify opportunities to replace manual trackers with GRC tooling and dashboards.
• Coordinate regional and cross-functional contributors to reflect local regulatory requirements.
• Produce management reporting on obligations coverage, control mapping, and risks.
