Job summary

Hitachi seeks a Corporate Strategy professional to lead the deal lifecycle, from initial analysis to board-ready proposals. You will build sophisticated financial models, conduct due diligence across Finance, Legal, HR, IT and Operations, and present strategic investments and transactions to senior leaders.

Ideal candidates bring experience in private equity, investment banking or strategy consulting, with strong commercial judgement and the ability to influence executives.

Qualifications

• Significant experience in corporate development, private equity, investment banking, strategy consulting or a transaction-focused role.
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or a related analytical discipline.
• Strong financial modelling, valuation and financial statement analysis skills.
• Experience managing several projects at different stages of the deal lifecycle and working with stakeholders globally.
• Sound commercial judgement, strategic thinking and the ability to influence senior leaders.

Responsibilities

• Manage multiple transactions and strategic projects across the M&A lifecycle.
• Build financial models and valuations, including DCF, comparable companies, precedent transactions and LBO analysis.
• Lead cross-functional due diligence with Finance, Legal, HR, IT and Operations, translating findings into clear risks and recommendations.
• Conduct market, competitor and technology-sector analysis to support investment decisions.
• Prepare business cases and proposals for senior leadership and board-level approval.
• Build strong relationships with global stakeholders, investment banks, consultants and other external advisers.
