Job summary

University Medical Center of El Paso seeks a senior accounting leader to oversee the daily operations of the accounting team and ensure the integrity of the Hospital's General Ledger, capital assets lifecycle, and all related financial reporting.

The role leads capitalization, depreciation, CIP, lease accounting, and project accounting while coordinating with Facilities, IT, Supply Chain, Budget, and executives to support strategic decisions and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field is required.
• Minimum three years supervisory/management experience in accounting.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and GASB guidance applicable to hospital finance.
• Experience with healthcare and governmental financial reporting.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of the accounting team.
• Manage capital assets lifecycle including CIP, capitalization, depreciation.
• Ensure accuracy and timeliness of general ledger and financial reporting.
• Collaborate with facilities, IT, supply chain, and leadership for capital transactions.
• Support strategic decision-making through financial stewardship.
