Job summary

Capital One Financial Corporation is seeking aSenior Manager, FinOps Analytics to own the cost and AI-leverage layer of the analytics platform, building production systems including a cost-attribution pipeline and an autoscaling control loop, while working remotely.

You will manage three production platforms, develop a cost-attribution pipeline, and design a Gen AI system for NL-to-SQL queries over the data catalog to optimize cloud costs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• 10+ years of engineering experience with mission-critical apps and platforms.
• Deep experience with Kafka and streaming technologies.
• Fluency in SQL and Python; experience with JS/Java/TypeScript/Go.

• Manage and evolve three production platforms from ideation to implementation and production support
• Develop a cost-attribution pipeline and a forecast-driven autoscaling control loop to optimize cloud costs
• Design and implement a production Gen AI system for natural-language-to-SQL queries over the data catalog

Required qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree
• 10+ years of engineering experience with mission-critical applications and platforms
• Deep experience with Kafka and streaming technologies
• Fluency in SQL and Python, along with experience in JavaScript, Java, TypeScript, and Go
• Experience with large-scale data volumes and cloud computing (AWS, Azure, GCP)
