Job summary

Capital One is seeking a Sr Manager IC for FinOps & AI Enablement within the Analytics Team. This role is remote-eligible and focuses on owning three production platforms from inception to production support, with a strong emphasis on cost optimization and AI-driven analytics.

You will build a cost-attribution system, an autoscaling loop for shared Trino/dbt infrastructure, and a Gen AI-based data-query system, while mentoring analysts and engineers across the team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in a technical field required.
• 6+ years of software engineering experience in production systems.
• 1+ year of cloud computing experience (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
• Deep Kafka/streaming, data platforms, and large-scale traffic experience.
• Fluency across JavaScript, Java, TypeScript, SQL, Python, and Go; knowledge of AWS tools.
• Gen AI experience with RAG design and LLM tool usage preferred.
• Proven ability to deliver 0-to-1 products with measurable revenue/adoption.
• Experience coordinating cross-team migrations to completion.

Responsibilities

• Spend ~70% building: cost-attribution logic, dbt models, autoscaler loop, and RAG system.
• Spend ~30% on technical coordination with Finance and analytics teams.
• Own three production platforms from ideation to production support.
• Mentor analysts, BAs, and engineers using the platforms.
• Lead cost optimization and forecast-driven capacity planning on shared infra.
