Job summary

Avis Budget Group is seeking a Senior Manager, Financial Systems – Oracle EPM in Parsippany, NJ. You will own the Oracle EPM architecture, lead upgrades and automations, and partner with Finance to drive planning and reporting excellence.

You will mentor a team, manage integrations with ERP, and ensure SOX controls and security across the cloud platform. This is a hands-on leadership role in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
  • 8–10+ years of Oracle EPM experience, including Oracle Cloud Planning (PBCS/EPBCS).
  • 3–5 years leading technical teams or enterprise implementations.
  • Expert knowledge of Oracle Planning (PBCS/EPBCS), including configuration, metadata, rules, calculations, security, integrations, and automation.

Responsibilities

  • Own the Oracle EPM technical architecture, ensuring scalability, performance, security, and alignment with standards.
  • Lead upgrades, testing, and production deployments; oversee integrations with ERP systems.
  • Mentor Oracle EPM admins, developers, and analysts; drive automation and data loads.
  • Define and prioritize the Oracle EPM roadmap with Finance leadership; monitor data integrity and governance.
  • Support monthly forecasting, annual planning, and financial close processes in EPM.

This role partners closely with Finance, IT, and external vendors to deliver scalable planning, forecasting, consolidation, and reporting solutions while ensuring system reliability, security, and continuous improvement.What You’ll Do:Own the overall Oracle EPM technical architecture, ensuring scalability, performance, security, and alignment with enterprise technology standards.Evaluate new Oracle EPM features and quarterly cloud updates, assessing business impact and recommending adoption strategies.Lead, mentor, and develop Oracle EPM administrators, developers, and technical analysts.Lead platform upgrades, patch testing, regression testing, and production deployments.Partner with Finance leadership to define and prioritize the Oracle EPM roadmap.Design and oversee integrations between Oracle EPM and ERP systemsBuild and maintain automated data loads using EPM Automate, Data Integration, REST APIs, and scripting technologies.Monitor integration performance and proactively resolve data integrity issues.Establish governance processes for metadata management, hierarchies, dimensions, and master data changes.Ensure compliance with SOX controls, audit requirements, and change management standards.Manage relationships with Oracle, implementation partners, and third-party vendors.Drive continuous improvement initiatives to simplify processes and improve system performance.Optimize calculation scripts, business rules, Groovy rules, and data load performance.Identify opportunities to improve planning cycle times and reduce manual effort through automation.Support monthly forecasting, annual planning, and financial close processes through Oracle EPM.Lead the Finance Oracle AI strategy and roadmap, identifying opportunities to leverage Oracle AI capabilities to transform finance processes.Perks You’ll Get:Access to Medical, Dental, Vision, Life and Disability insuranceEligible to elect other voluntary benefits including: Group Auto Insurance, Group Home Insurance, Pet Insurance, Legal Assistance, Identity Theft Protection, FSA, Accident Insurance, Critical Illness Insurance, and additional life insurance coverages401(k) Retirement Plan with company matched contributionsFull training to learn the business and enhance professional skillsEmployee discounts, including discounted prices on the purchase of Avis/Budget carsAccess to an Employee Assistance Program for services including counseling, financial and legal consultation, referrals for care service and moreWhat We’re Looking For:Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field.8–10+ years of Oracle EPM experience, including Oracle Cloud Planning (PBCS/EPBCS).3–5 years leading technical teams or enterprise implementations.Expert knowledge of Oracle Planning (PBCS/EPBCS), including application configuration, metadata, business rules, calculations, security, integrations, platform administration, and automation using EPM Automate.Experience with Financial Consolidation & Close (FCCS), Enterprise Data Management (EDMCS), Data Management, and Oracle reporting tools including SmartView and Financial Reporting.Extensive knowledge of Excel, SmartView, and Essbase Spreadsheet Add-in.Experience with REST APIs, Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC), and SQL and/or scripting languages (PowerShell or Python) preferred.Experience supporting global finance organizations and governance of chart of accounts and segment hierarchies.Oracle Cloud certifications (ERP Financials and/or Oracle EPM) strongly preferred.Excellent communication, relationship-building, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to partner effectively with senior leaders and tailor communication for both technical and non-technical audiences.Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills with a resourceful, solutions-oriented mindset.Experience with Narrative Reporting and Groovy is a plusThe annual starting salary for this position is between $140,000 – $180,000 annually.
