NTT DATA is seeking a seasoned Finance professional to oversee financial reporting for the Americas region. The role demands extensive knowledge in financial principles and practices, leadership skills in managing diverse teams, and strategic insight for financial operations. ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Ownership of all aspects of the internal and external reporting of monthly and quarterly financial results, including the timely planning and tracking of each reporting requirement to meet corporate deadlines, daily team management of tasks, reconciliation of Americas regional results in all both local and consolidated systems, and full financial analyses of multiple-entity operations and comparison both to prior period and forecast expectations
Plays a key “right hand to the Controller” position regarding the core functions of financial reporting for audits, global consolidations, property tax compliance, and all regional or site-level financial operations
Leads the financial reporting department and strategically coordinates with multiple local and global Finance teams to provide scheduled (month-end) and ad-hoc financial analysis and reporting as requested by management, by providing complete, timely and accurate insights into financial accounting trends, performance metrics, and cash flow opportunities, with no exceptions
Demonstrates and applies experienced and strategic accounting knowledge and best-in-class thought leadership to ensure all significant transactions are properly supported, disclosed and reconciled both for the entire region and at the very detailed site-level operational level
Leads regional and global initiatives to implement and enhance systems-based dashboards and reports using reputable software such as: PowerBi, Hyperion, OneStream, or SAP S/4 Hana
Coordinates with the Americas Asset Management team and external stakeholders to secure jurisdictional economic development incentives and ensure company compliance with incentive agreements for up to 5 years of future reporting
Ownership of the Americas property tax annual cycle for more than 30 sites and works with 3rd party experts to successfully challenge the valuation and tax assessment of data center assets
Develops and maintains strong relationships and utilize strong business and accounting acumen coupled with strong communication skills to effectively facilitate information flow to cross-functional business partners, external auditors, NTT stakeholders, government agencies, and the Finance organization
Ensures key processes are documented and SOX controls are maintained and reviewed periodically. These include processes such as: NTT Global allocations (expense) and cost recoveries (receivable), due diligence reporting provided to business development teams, monthly financial results to NTT, and equity-based investment accounting
Prepares consolidated P&L, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow Financial statements for each business unit in the Americas region under GAAP or IFRS standards, with all audit-ready supporting documentation
Oversees and implements continued improvement efforts for all current financial applications to drive scalability and reliability in our finance and accounting operations throughout the department; provides insight and recommendations for future-state systems, including ERP and adjacent implementations
Creates and presents regular executive updates to local and global accounting management on department metrics and performance against financial and operational targets
Provides guidance to Controller and company senior management on accounting policies and technical accounting interpretations
Establishes training and mentoring of department staff
Assists in the completion of special projects
Performs other duties as assigned
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
Demonstrated extensive and in-depth knowledge of financial reporting principles and practices both in US GAAP and IFRS
Impeccable oral and written communication skills, including advanced team leadership skills
Multi-entity/location experience is required; international experience is desirable
Proven financial reporting experience with multiple entities and consolidations for both tax and financial accounting with a focus on complete reconciliation of detailed transactions to financial reporting
Proficient with MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project)
Large accounting system experience preferred (Oracle or SAP S/4)
Demonstrated ability to work efficiently and productively in a multi-task deadline-oriented environment independently with minimal supervision
Initiative and proven ability to own projects from start to finish and can approach tasks strategically
Ability to manage multiple direct reports and priorities as a self-motivated, success-driven leader
Proven knowledge and experience in effectively managing a remote team of accountants
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
Bachelor Degree in Accounting
CPA is highly preferred
Minimum of 10 years of Accounting/Finance experience, which includes a minimum of 4 years in a team leadership or management role
Technology or data center operations experience preferred
Public Accounting or public financial reporting experience preferred
Equity Method accounting experience is beneficial
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Primarily sitting with some walking, standing, and bending.
Ability to lift and carry up to 20 lbs.
Able to hear and speak into a telephone.
Close visual work on a computer terminal.
Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate any required to operate computer keyboard, mouse, and other technical instruments
WORK CONDITIONS & OTHER REQUIREMENTS
This position is expected to be remote for the foreseeable future with an occasional need to be onsite in a shared work environment.
Requires working nights and weekends as necessary to meet corporate deadlines of month-end reporting and/or budgets, etc.
Travel may be required.
This is a remote position that requires reliable internet connection and electricity. A monthly stipend is provided to cover expenses associated with working remotely and use of a personal mobile device, if applicable.
NTT Global Data Centers Americas, Inc. offers competitive compensation based on experience, education, and location. Base salary for this position is $129,600 - $189,300.
All regular full-time employees are eligible for an annual bonus; payout is dependent upon individual and company performance.
