Job summary

Workday Talent Hub is seeking a Senior Manager, Financial Reporting to lead the design, development, and maintenance of Workday reports and dashboards. You will ensure accurate GAAP/IFRS financial disclosures, support external audits, and drive improvements across reporting processes.

The role requires 3–5 years in financial reporting with deep Workday expertise, including Report Writer, Adaptive Planning, and dashboards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, information systems, business, or related field.
• MBA or CPA is valued.
• 3-5 years of experience in financial reporting, accounting, and/or auditing roles.
• Hands-on experience building reports in Workday Report Writer with calculated fields and advanced report types.
• Workday Report Writer Certification or willingness to complete the assessment.
• Deep understanding of Workday Finance.
• Experience with Workday Dashboards, Scorecards, and Hubs preferred.
• Knowledge of GAAP.
• Non-profit experience highly preferred.
• Strong financial modeling, forecasting, and data analytics skills.
• Proficiency in Excel.
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and leadership abilities.

This is a hybrid position. Willing to consider remote from another city/state but must be willing/able to work within Pacific Time core business hours.

Who We're Looking For

The Senior Manager, Financial Reporting is responsible for overseeing the preparation and distribution of financial statements in compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies. You will ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial reporting, assist with external audits, and implement best practices in financial disclosure. You have a strong background in GAAP/IFRS, SEC reporting (if applicable), and financial analysis.

What You'll Do

• Report Development:Design, build, test, and maintain custom Advanced, Matrix, Composite, and standard Workday reports using calculated fields and Business Objects.
• System Maintenance & Upgrades:Test, review, and update existing reports during Workday's bi-annual releases to maintain functionality.
• Dashboard Creation:Design and manage operational dashboards, Discovery Boards, and Report-as-a-Service (RaaS) outputs, partnering with the Financial Analyst, to track key performance indicators (KPIs) for leadership.
• Prepare and update financial statement templates.
• Oversee internal financial reporting processes and implement controls to maintain accuracy and efficiency.
• Manage the preparation of quarterly and annual reports.
• Participate in monthly, quarterly, and year-end closing process.
• Collaborate with internal teams to gather report parameters.
• Lead process improvements in financial reporting systems and procedures.

Skills & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, information systems, business, or a related field, providing the technical foundation for Workday reporting responsibilities. MBA or CPA is valued.
• 3-5 years of experience in financial reporting, accounting, and/or auditing roles.
• Demonstrated, hands-on experience building reports in Workday Report Writer including calculated fields and advanced, matrix, and composite reports.
• Workday Report Writer Certification or be willing and able to successfully complete a Workday Report Writing proficiency assessment as part of the interview process.
• Deep understanding of Workday Finance.
• Workday Adaptive Planning experience including Adaptive Dashboards, HTML Reports, and OfficeConnect reporting packages highly preferred.
• Experience with Workday Dashboards, Scorecards, and Workday Hubs preferred.
• Experience gathering, documenting, and translating business requirements into reporting solutions, with working knowledge of data integration/ETL concepts and reporting governance practices.
• Knowledge of GAAP.
• Non-profit experience highly preferred.
• Strong financial modeling, forecasting, and data analytics skills.
• Proficiency in Excel.
