The Walt Disney Company is seeking a Finance Transformation Senior Manager to own the data strategy end-to-end, from source systems into the enterprise data ecosystem and Oracle EPM environment. You will define data definitions, governance, and controls to support AI-enabled analysis and trusted planning and reporting.

This hands-on leadership role demands deep FP&A knowledge, strong stakeholder management, and the ability to drive alignment across Finance and Enterprise Technology.

Senior Manager, Finance Transformation

About the Role & Team

At The Walt Disney Company, Finance Transformation is a high-profile, cross-functional initiative to define and create the future of Finance at the Company. As our Oracle EPM program moves toward go-live, Finance is rebuilding its data foundation, connecting source finance systems through cloud platforms into our Enterprise Data Management (EDM) environment, and rethinking how that data is structured downstream for AI-enabled analysis. We are seeking an exceptional Finance Transformation Senior Manager to own this data strategy end to end as an individual contributor. This person will define how information should move inbound from source finance systems into the finance data ecosystem, and how that same data should be structured and documented so it is usable by AI tools and agents. This is a hands-on strategy and governance role built on deep finance transformation experience and it requires the judgment and stakeholder management expected of a Finance Transformation leader.

Responsibilities and Duties of the Role

Own the data strategy for how financial data moves from source finance systems into the enterprise’s cloud data platforms and Oracle EPM environment, reviewing each stage for accuracy, completeness, and business integrity. Define the enterprise data strategy for this pipeline, including business rules, data definitions, and controls, for Enterprise Technology to build and implement. This role defines the strategy, and Enterprise Technology builds against it. Define data quality, validation, and reconciliation standards so that data supporting planning, consolidation, and reporting can be trusted. Define governance principles and access management standards across finance systems and tools, establishing clear rules for who can view, edit, and approve data as it moves through the finance data ecosystem. Own issue resolution during go-live and early production, identifying the business impact of data discrepancies and directing them to resolution with Enterprise Technology and implementation partners. Define how finance data should be structured and documented downstream so it is readily and reliably usable by AI tools and agents, including clear definitions and consistent business meaning. Communicate data strategy, risks, and go-live readiness clearly to Finance Transformation leadership and cross-functional stakeholders, using plain language.

Required Education, Experience, Skills & Training

7 or more years of relevant experience leading data strategy within large-scale finance transformation or FP&A modernization programs. Demonstrated experience defining and managing master data management and data governance standards, including ownership, stewardship, and control practices, for enterprise financial data. Experience owning issue resolution for data problems during and after a major system go-live. Deep fluency in how FP&A operates, including chart of accounts, planning cycles, close processes. Comfortable driving outcomes across Enterprise Technology and implementation partners through technical credibility and influence. Strong written and verbal communication skills, with experience presenting data strategy and risk to finance and technology leadership.

Preferred Qualifications & Skills

Experience defining how finance data should be organized and documented so AI agents and tools can reliably access and use it, for example through clear definitions, consistent formats, and accessible data interfaces. Hands-on experience with one or more of the following: Oracle EPM, Snowflake, SAP, or a comparable enterprise data management platform. Certification in data governance or master data management. Prior consulting or systems-integrator experience advising on large-scale Oracle EPM implementations.

Education Required

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Analytics, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

Preferred MBA or other advanced degree.

The hiring range for this position in Burbank, California is $168,200.00-$205,400.00 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
