Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a senior Finance Systems Leader to drive enterprise finance initiatives, with emphasis on Oracle Fusion optimization and implementation. You will oversee production support for Oracle Fusion, EPM, Apex, and other finance applications, and lead multi‑phase transformations across geographies.

You will define requirements for Procure to Pay and Record to Report, design end‑to‑end processes, and ensure SOX compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Information Systems, or related field.
• 8+ years of progressive finance systems experience with leadership exposure.
• Hands‑on experience implementing or optimizing Oracle Fusion, EBS, PeopleSoft, or SAP.
• Proven ability to deliver large‑scale finance transformations from requirements to hypercare.
• Deep knowledge of finance processes, close procedures, and regulatory reporting.

Job description

• Lead functional execution of enterprise-wide finance systems initiatives, primarily Oracle Fusion ERP optimization and implementation


• Oversee production support for Oracle Fusion, EPM, Apex, and other finance applications


• Lead Oracle Fusion and finance systems implementation projects across deployment phases and geographies


• Define business requirements and functional specifications for Procure to Pay, Record to Report, Quote to Cash, and Project to Close workstreams


• Design end-to-end business processes, system workflows, and approval hierarchies aligned with business needs and SOX controls


• Coordinate with IT Infrastructure on technical architecture, integrations, and system performance


• Own finance system integration requirements for Salesforce CRM, Workday HRIS, payment systems, subsidiary ledgers, and reporting tools


• Provide functional leadership for Oracle EPM Cloud initiatives and support Apex application rollouts


• Lead or contribute to finance transformation projects, including project accounting and audit documentation


• Supervise and mentor the Finance Systems team


• Manage Oracle and implementation partner consultants and coordinate cross-functional workstreams


• Document current-state processes, identify gaps, and design future-state Oracle Fusion workflows


• Establish functional governance for system configuration changes and maintain process and configuration documentation


• Own end-to-end testing strategy, test scripts, tester assignments, defect resolution, and sign-off


• Design and deliver end-user training programs and coordinate change management activities


• Identify Oracle Fusion feature and quarterly update opportunities for continuous improvement


• Partner with Data/AI teams on intelligent automation, anomaly detection, predictive analytics, and self-service reporting


• Use LLMs for requirements documentation, process analysis, and solution research


• Support AI agent use-case identification, prompt engineering, validation, and emerging AI capability evaluation

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Information Systems, or related field


• 8+ years of progressive finance systems experience, including at least 3 years in a lead or management role


• Hands‑on experience implementing or optimizing Oracle Fusion, Oracle EBS, PeopleSoft, SAP, or comparable Tier 1 ERP


• Proven experience delivering large-scale, multi-Phase finance transformations from requirements through hypercare


• Deep expertise in finance business processes, accounting principles, financial close procedures, and regulatory reporting requirements


• Strong understanding of ERP functional configuration, business process modeling, integration design, and testing methodologies


• Experience designing and documenting SOX controls, segregation of duties matrices, and audit trails in ERP systems


• Proficiency with Oracle Fusion reporting tools such as OTBI, BIP, and FBDI, or equivalent platforms such as Power BI and Tableau


• Working knowledge of APIs, web services, and file-based interfaces; ability to define integration requirements for IT


• Experience with Oracle EPM Cloud, including PBCS, FCCS, and Planning, or comparable platforms such as Anaplan, Adaptive, and Host Analytics


• Experience supporting Oracle Apex or low-code application platforms for finance workflow rollouts


• Understanding of capex project accounting and finance transformation project lifecycle


• Exceptional project management skills across multiple workstreams, dependencies, and priorities


• Strong communication skills and ability to translate business needs into functional requirements


• Ability to build and lead cross-functional teams, mentor junior staff, and drive accountability


• Experience contributing to finance systems roadmap development and multi-year technology initiatives


• Ability to develop data governance frameworks covering ownership, quality, access controls, and retention


• Understanding of AI strategy considerations for finance functions


• Working knowledge of LLM capabilities and limitations, including GPT, Claude, Gemini, or open-source alternatives


• Experience using AI tools for documentation, analysis, and research


• Basic understanding of AI agent concepts and AI solution design collaboration


• Ability to work in an office environment


• Must qualify as a U.S. person under ITAR/EAR requirements or be eligible for approval of an export license; some positions require current U.S. citizenship
