Job summary

Amazon is seeking a Sr. Mgr, EAP to establish cross-organizational alignment on an environmental compliance vision across all business units and integrate objectives into planning cycles.

You will own the strategic program roadmap and multi-year operating plans, balancing immediate obligations with long-term investments. The role requires 10+ years in risk management/compliance and strong communication with executive stakeholders.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of risk management, audit, legal, compliance or related field work including engaging with external stakeholders

Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain cross-organizational alignment on a unified environmental compliance vision, spanning all in-scope business units and integrating objectives into planning cycles.
• Own the strategic program roadmap, including media specific compliance programs and field execution frameworks.
• Develop and govern multi-year operating plans, program budgets, and resource allocation strategies that balance immediate compliance obligations against long-term infrastructure investment.
• Build and operate program controllership mechanisms that drive speed, quality, and accountability across internal and external stakeholders, proactively surfacing and mitigating compliance risk.
• Communicate compliance strategy, program status, and escalation risks clearly and concisely to Director and VP-level audiences across Operations, Legal, Finance, and Technology.
• Partner with Amazon Legal, regulators, environmental consultants, and tech teams to resolve compliance barriers and accelerate engineered solutions.
• Define, implement, and govern KPI frameworks that provide real-time visibility into program performance and regulatory posture.
• Lead talent management lifecycle including hiring, onboarding, and development planning.
• Oversee work by third-party contractors, consultants, and inspection vendors, ensuring milestones and quality standards.
• Work autonomously in a high-stakes regulatory environment to deliver compliance outcomes at scale.
• Embed environmental compliance objectives into day-to-day operational rhythms.
