Job summary

Nebraska Medicine is seeking a strategic and hands-on leader to establish and oversee enterprise physical security operations across our hospitals, clinics, and ancillary locations. As the System Security Operations Manager, you will build the department, develop teams, implement security technology, and partner with clinical and operational leaders to foster a consistent, safety-centered culture.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or higher in a related field with healthcare security experience.
• Minimum five years in security, law enforcement, or emergency management.
• Minimum three years of leadership experience.
• Experience with security technology and systems (access control, video, incident reporting).
• Familiarity with HIPAA and hospital security regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Provide oversight and management of enterprise physical security operations across locations.
• Lead assigned security personnel and manage the Security Control Center and related systems.
• Coordinate with clinical and operational leaders to ensure a evidence-based safety culture.
• Engage internal and external partners to protect patients, staff, visitors and facilities.
• Prepare for and respond to emergencies, incidents, lockdowns and evacuations.
