Job summary

Mars Pet Nutrition is seeking a senior data and analytics leader to shape the future of data, analytics, and AI for the business unit. You will drive forecasting, AI integration, data governance, and BI modernization across Mars' $7B portfolio, guiding cross-functional teams and external partners.

You will partner with senior leadership to translate commercial needs into scalable data products and ensure data quality, governance, and metric consistency across the enterprise.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in analytics, data science, business, statistics, or related field required; MBA preferred.
• 7+ years of progressive experience in data management, analytics, BI, or commercial insights.
• Strong hands-on knowledge of Azure Databricks, SQL, Python, Alteryx and BI platforms PowerBI/Tableau.
• Experience managing large, complex datasets (POS, loyalty, panel, Nielsen/IRI).
• Ability to translate commercial needs into scalable data products and assess AI readiness.
• Strong cross-functional collaboration and data storytelling for leadership.
• Establish data governance, data quality standards, and metric consistency.

Responsibilities

• Define Data Roadmap & Governance: shape long-term data roadmap and own data assets for data integrity and scalability.
• Drive Advanced Analytics & Strategic Forecasting: oversee category dynamics, volume modeling, and forecasting for a $7B business.
• Pioneer AI & Next-Gen Capabilities: assess tech readiness for AI and develop innovative analytics solutions.
• Evolve BI Platforms & Tooling: lead roadmap for analytics platforms (PowerBI, Cascade).
• Expand the Data Ecosystem: source and integrate new data sources to increase market coverage.
• Partner Cross-Functionally: collaborate with D&A, Data Foundations, Marketing, and Global teams to operationalize pipelines.
• Champion Data Storytelling & Best Practices: guide commercial teams on data usage and interpretation.
