Job summary

Jobtailor seeks a Senior Technology Leader in Indianapolis to lead a 4–8 person team and shape the architecture and roadmap for enterprise applications. You will partner across Operations, Finance, HR, Procurement and Technology to deliver scalable business solutions, improve processes, and align IT with business goals.

The role requires 8+ years of experience, strong leadership, and a track record of delivering measurable results in manufacturing or supply chain environments.

Qualifications

• 8+ years designing or maintaining business applications in supply chain, manufacturing, or related environments.
• 2+ years of people-management experience and proven leadership of technical teams.
• Experience delivering measurable business outcomes through enterprise applications.
• Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder-management skills.
• Familiarity with ERP/MRP/WMS/TMS/CRM/SCM/OMS or related operational systems.

Job description

• Lead and develop a high-performing team of 4-8 developers and engineers


• Shape the strategy, architecture, and long-term roadmap for enterprise applications


• Improve systems and processes supporting supply chain, manufacturing, and business operations


• Partner with leaders across Operations, Finance, HR, Procurement, and Technology to deliver business solutions


• Evaluate and implement technologies that improve efficiency, scalability, customer experience, and competitive advantage


• Build relationships with internal clients, software vendors, and implementation partners


• Hire, coach, develop, and set clear expectations for developers and engineers


• Oversee application design, configuration, maintenance, support, and delivery


• Establish technology and application architecture strategies aligned with business and customer needs


• Manage team budgets, headcount, workflows, priorities, KPIs, project estimates, and leadership reporting


• Identify process gaps and implement scalable improvements


• Evaluate, procure, and implement business applications and technology solutions


• Manage software vendors and service providers, including contracts, negotiations, support, and professional-services engagements


• Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to align priorities, address barriers, and deliver technology solutions


• Ensure compliance with company policies, applicable regulations, and internal control frameworks, including SOC 2 Type II and ISO 14001

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience designing, implementing, or maintaining business applications in supply chain, manufacturing, or related environments


• 2+ years of people-management experience


• Proven success leading technical teams and delivering measurable business results


• Strong analytical, communication, stakeholder-management, and conflict-resolution skills


• Experience with enterprise applications such as ERP, MRP, WMS, TMS, VMS, CRM, SCM, OMS, or operational technology systems is preferred


• Familiarity with the Microsoft technology stack, including .NET, SQL Server, Windows Server, and cloud deployments, is preferred


• Bachelor’s degree in Computer and Information Sciences or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
