Position Summary

The Senior Manager, Employee Experience leads the design and delivery of a consistent, high‑quality employee experience across the organization. This role serves as a strategic partner to managers, owning employee relations, onboarding and offboarding experience, and performance management execution.

Responsibilities and Duties
  • Leads onboarding and offboarding experiences, delivering first‑day programming, maintaining materials, and ensuring employees have a strong, consistent high‑quality entry and exit experience.
  • Conducts exit interviews and analyzes feedback, identifying trends and recommending actionable improvements to improve retention and employee experience.
  • Serves as primary partner to managers on employee relations matters, conducting investigations, providing guidance, and ensuring policies are applied fairly and consistently.
  • Plans and executes employee engagement initiatives, including team huddles, in‑season events, and other experiences that enhance culture and employee connection.
  • Supports and administers performance management processes, partnering with leaders to reinforce expectations, feedback culture, and ongoing employee development.
  • Manages and develops the People Operations Coordinator, providing day‑to‑day guidance, prioritization, and performance feedback.
  • Partners with hiring managers to refine job descriptions and support hiring alignment.
  • Analyzes and reports on People Operations metrics, including turnover trends, employee survey insights, and workplace/event utilization, to support informed decision‑making and identify areas for improvement.
  • Identifies trends in employee experience, engagement, and retention, proactively surfacing risks and opportunities to leadership.
  • Generates ad hoc HR reports and insights, supporting leaders with timely, actionable, and relevant data.
  • Maintains knowledge of HR best practices and employment laws, ensuring sound judgement and compliance in employee‑facing decisions.
  • Provides support across People Operations initiatives as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Required Abilities an d Skills

  • Ability to build trust and credibility by delivering responsive, reliable, and people‑centered support to employees, leaders, and cross‑functional partners.
  • Proven ability to develop strong relationships across all levels of an organization through authentic, inclusive, and engaging communication.
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and execute key objectives in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Strong time management and prioritization skills, with the ability to balance competing responsibilities while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey information clearly, professionally, and with sound judgment.
Education and Experience
  • At least 5‑7 years’ relevant work experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • PHR or SHRM‑CP certification preferred.
  • Knowledge of computerized information systems and human resources applications.
  • Advanced Excel, PowerPoint, and Microsoft Word skills, including the development of complex spreadsheets and presentations, and experience preparing, documenting, and presenting narrative reports and statistical analyses.
  • Knowledge of current federal and California state labor and benefit laws and regulations required.
  • Experience administering benefits and leave programs required.
