Job summary

Exelon is seeking an experienced communications leader to develop and execute comprehensive employee engagement strategies. You will partner with HR, executives, and field teams to ensure on-brand messaging, metric-driven programs, and effective executive communications across multiple locations.

The role requires 10+ years in communications, strong writing/editing, and adept people management. Occasional travel to the corporate offices and field sites is expected.

Qualifications

• 4-year degree and 10+ years of experience in communications/journalism or related field.
• Excellent writing and editing skills.
• In lieu of degree, 12–15 years of relevant experience.
• Strong interpersonal communication and management skills.
• High level of self-motivation and independence.
• Strong presentation skills.
• Strategic thinking; self-motivation; organizational sensitivity.
• Demonstrated managerial experience.
• Ability to obtain unescorted access to a nuclear site, if applicable.
• 3–5 years of supervisory experience.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute dynamic employee engagement plans aligned with business objectives.
• Track and analyze communication effectiveness using KPIs (reach, engagement, feedback).
• Design communications for employees with limited email/digital access and coordinate field-to-corporate feedback.
• Plan and execute employee events across the service territory; measure impact via surveys.
• Collaborate with HR and partners to ensure timely dissemination of critical information.
• Fulfill managerial responsibilities for assigned staff and participate in career development and planning.
