Job summary

Acuity Inc. is seeking a Senior Manager, Strategic Sourcing (Electronics) to drive global sourcing strategies that support product innovation, supply continuity, and cost performance. You will collaborate across Engineering, Product Management, Quality, and Manufacturing to lead complex supplier initiatives and long-term category plans.

The role requires strong negotiation, leadership, and data-analysis skills using Excel and Power BI. Travel 21-40% across the United States is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain or engineering.
• Internal SME for the commodity or supplier base managed.
• Strong sourcing acumen and negotiation skills.
• Strong leadership and strategic thinking.
• Strong written and verbal communication as well as organizational skills.
• Proficient in Excel, Power BI, and other Microsoft Office applications with data analysis capabilities.
• Knowledge of Lean manufacturing principles and tools.
• Leads Electronics category within the team.

Responsibilities

• Establish global sourcing strategies to maximize operating profit and business objectives.
• Lead supplier transitions, contract negotiations, and cross‑functional programs.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Product Management, Quality, Procurement, Manufacturing, and Supplier partners.
• Ensure supply continuity, cost competitiveness, risk mitigation, and successful NPI execution.
• Develop supplier alliances through contract negotiations and long‑term partnerships.
• Measure supplier performance and drive continuous improvements in service levels.
• Mitigate risk and ensure regulatory compliance for energy efficiency requirements.
• Rationalize supply base to optimize the electronics category.
• Support Kanban and inventory metrics to stabilize production schedules.
• Manage spend strategy and blanket purchase orders to control supplier pricing.
