Job summary

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking a Senior Manager, Software Development to lead engineering teams within the Elastic Container Service (ECS) organization in Seattle, WA. You will own the technical direction and execution of multiple teams, defining the roadmap for ECS features and infrastructure while growing a high-performing organization of engineers and engineering managers.

You will recruit, develop, and retain talent, partner with Principal Engineers, Product Managers, and AWS leaders

Qualifications

10+ years of engineering experience.
5+ years of engineering team management experience.
10+ years of planning, designing, developing and delivering consumer software experience.
Experience partnering with product or program management teams.
Experience managing multiple concurrent programs, projects and development teams in an Agile environment.

Responsibilities

Lead two or more engineering teams responsible for designing, building, and operating ECS services at global scale.
Own the full software development lifecycle from requirements to delivery, operations, and continuous improvement.
Define a multi-year technical vision for ECS and translate it into quarterly and annual deliverables.
Recruit, develop, and retain engineering talent in Seattle, collaborating across AWS globally.
