Job description

The Senior Manager, eCommerce is responsible for developing, executing, and optimizing eCommerce, digital marketing, and merchandising strategies that support online sales goals across the PADI Experience. This role owns the digital merchandising strategy, product line mix, and overall digital purchase experience to drive traffic, engagement, and conversion and is highly committed to delivering on our PL targets. The Senior Manager, eCommerce will evaluate marketplace trends, customer behavior, competitive landscapes, and performance data to inform strategy and drive continuous improvement.

What You Will Do

  • Develop and execute an annual cross-channel online marketing strategy to drive acquisition, retention, and conversion.
  • Develop, collaborate and execute data-driven marketing plans that drive qualified traffic (with a strong focus on SEO and AIO) and conversions across digital channels.
  • Partner with CRM Operations and Analytics to identify targeting opportunities that improve customer lifetime value (CLV).
Performance Marketing & Channel Optimization
  • Partner with the performance marketing team to determine optimal paid and organic traffic strategies across channels.
  • Collaborate with Analytics to define and track key performance measures and optimize active and planned initiatives.
  • Partner with Product and Vendor teams to maintain an intuitive and conversion-focused site experience.
  • Ensure product information is accurate, SEO-optimized, user-friendly, and aligned with brand standards.
  • Execute effective pricing and promotional strategies that balance conversion and profitability.
Cross-Functional Leadership
  • Partner with the Integrated Marketing team to ensure effective project management and timely delivery of initiatives.
  • Communicate and collaborate with international PADI teams across 10+ timezones, which involves regular meetings outside standard business hours, to align global and local digital strategies.
  • Manage all customer-facing digital messaging to ensure accuracy, clarity, and brand alignment across marketing, product content, service messaging, and more.
  • Directly and indirectly manage, mentor, and develop team members to support execution of key strategies and initiatives.
  • Foster a collaborative, high-performance environment focused on continuous improvement.
What You Will Need To Be Successful
Education and Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, eCommerce, Business Administration, or related field and/or 5+ years of experience working within a high-performance eCommerce or marketing environment.
  • Very strong knowledge of SEO/AIO (incl. keyword gap analysis, identifying market and language opportunities) and related tools, e.g. SEMrush
  • Relevant work for in eCommerce for an online booking platform for travel or experiences
  • Strong knowledge of UX principles with the ability to partner effectively to enhance user experience.
  • Strong understanding of marketing strategy, brand management, campaign planning and execution, and digital content development.
  • Experience with eCommerce platforms and digital marketing tools; CommerceTools preferred.
  • Experience using web analytics tools
  • Prior experience leveraging site and marketing analytics to inform strategy and decision-making.
  • Experience managing internal teams, external partners, and agency relationships.
  • Knowledge of the software development lifecycle and agile ways of working

  • Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of staff and management.
  • Strong collaboration skills with the ability to influence without authority.
  • Passion for delivering high-quality digital customer experiences and supporting PADI’s mission of ocean conservation.
  • Ability to remain professional and diplomatic in all interactions.
  • Commitment to supporting a team-oriented environment that enhances performance, productivity, and shared goals.
  • PADI Open Water Diver certification or above would be preferred
