Job summary

Jobtailor in Connecticut is seeking a senior SAP/ERP specialist to own the Order‑to‑Cash stream. You will work with cross‑functional teams to translate business needs into SAP/ERP requirements and design improvements using S/4HANA. Expect collaboration across digital and business units and periodic travel.

The role requires extensive SAP O2C experience and a track record of delivering system enhancements and integrations within a complex operating model.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or advanced degree in a related field and substantial experience in SAP Order to Cash.
• Minimum of 7+ years’ experience in SAP with Order to Cash.
• Experience translating business needs into system requirements and process improvements.
• Strong understanding of digital processes for the O2C workstream: quotes, contracts, sales orders, deliveries, billing.

Responsibilities

• Support end-to-end O2C process areas including inquiry, quotation, sales orders, delivery, billing and invoicing.
• Collaborate with business and digital teams to understand requirements and guide ERP usage.
• Design and implement solutions leveraging S/4HANA to enhance workstream processes.
• Evaluate bolt-on applications and make recommendations based on requirements and standard models.
• Assist data teams with data mapping and testing; document solutions and processes.
• Deliver functional specifications for forms, reports, enhancements, and workflows.
• Travel 25-50% to meet program needs.

Job description

• Support the end-to-end O2C process areas including Inquiry and Quotation, sales order processing, Delivery, Billing and invoicing, credit management, Accounts Receivable and integrations to Boundary Systems.
• Collaborate with business and digital team members and cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and provide guidance on utilizing the ERP system effectively.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement solutions that leverage S/4HANA, enhancing our workstream processes in alignment desired Collins operating model and industry best practices.
• Support creation of new and innovative solutions to support digital and business strategies and common design aspirations.
• Support the evaluation of options for bolt-on applications and make recommendations based on functional requirements, desired standard operating model, and industry best practices.
• Assist data team and process teams in data mapping activities and testing.
• Document common solutions, including configuration documents, process flows and data policies.
• Deliver functional specifications for any forms, reports, enhancements, conversion programs, integrations and workflows deemed in scope of the workstream as part of program.
• Travel expectations 25-50%.

Requirements

• Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 10 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 7 years of experience.
• U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.
• Minimum of 7+ years' experience in SAP systems with Order to Cash experience and a bachelor’s degree in computer science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) or equivalent combination of related work experience and schooling in lieu of degree; Advanced degree and 7+ years' related work experience.
• Strong understanding of digital processes for the Order to Cash workstream in the following focus areas: quotes, contracts, sales orders, returns, delivery, shipping, pricing and billing finance processes, EDI, customer applications.
• Ability to translate business needs into system requirements and process improvements.
• Experience with SAP systems including system configuration, data management, and reporting capabilities.
