Job summary

Jobtailor in Connecticut seeks a senior SAP Finance specialist to lead end-to-end R2R processes, including GL, FA, Intercompany, month-end and year-end close, and treasury activities in a high-visibility ERP program.

You will collaborate with planning, materials, MRP and digital teams to design SAP S/4 Hana solutions, translate business needs into system requirements, and drive process improvements aligned with the operating model.

Qualifications

• University degree or higher with substantial finance/ERP experience.

• 10+ years in finance with SAP FI/CO configurations and integrations.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end R2R activities: GL, fixed assets, intercompany, month- and year-end close.
• Collaborate with planning, materials, MRP and external procurement to design SAP S/4 Hana solutions.
• Manage SAP CATS integration into FI/CO and project systems for labor allocation.
• Work with SAP S/4 universal allocations, overhead costing, and costing sheets across multiple cost objects in a manufacturing environment.
• Translate business needs into ERP requirements and process improvements.
• Partner with business and digital teams to maximize ERP effectiveness and guide design decisions.
• Support creation of new solutions to advance digital and business strategies.

Responsibilities

• Support the end-to-end R2R process areas including, General Ledger (GL) Fixed Assets (FA), Intercompany Accounting, Month-end and Year-end close, Banking, Treasury, Tax, Controlling, Profit center and cost center accounting, product costing, project systems.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams like planning, bill of materials, routings, MRP and external procurement to design and implement solutions that leverage S/4 Hana, enhancing our workstream processes in alignment with desired Collins operating model and industry best practices.
• Support the collection and distribution of labor via the SAP cross-application time sheet (CATS) requires knowledge of SAP CATS integration into FI/CO and project systems and understand the setup of activity types and rates.
• Familiarity with SAP S/4 universal allocations, including assessments and distributions, as well as overhead application via costing sheets to multiple types of cost objects (NWAs/WBS, production orders, service orders, cost centers, sales order line items) in an advanced manufacturing environment.
• Ability to translate business needs into system requirements and process improvements.
• Collaborate with business and digital team members and cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and provide guidance on utilizing the ERP system effectively.
• Support creation of new and innovative solutions to support digital and business strategies and common design aspirations.

Requirements

• Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 10 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 7 years of experience.
• U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.
• Experience with SAP systems including system configuration, data management, and reporting capabilities.
• 10+ years’ Finance Acumen: Strong understanding of finance processes including but not limited to: Finance Master Data, Allocations, FP&A, Financial Reporting, Tax, Treasury, G/L, Fixed Assets, Payroll, Period Close & Consolidation, Costing, Project Accounting.
• 7+ years’ experience in SAP configuration and implementation in the following FI/CO modules – general ledger, treasury, banking, asset accounting, AR, AP, Tax integrations, Intercompany Accounting, profit center accounting, and controlling modules.
