Job summary

Salesforce is seeking a Senior Manager of Software Engineering to lead DNS Engineering, owning authoritative and recursive DNS across data centers and Hyperforce. You will set a multi-year strategy, drive cloud-native migrations, and ensure high availability for a Tier-0 service used by every Salesforce product.

You will lead tech leads, POs and senior engineers, partnering with platform, networking, security, and product teams.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of software engineering experience with 5+ years of leadership.
• Deep understanding of DNS and core internet protocols at scale.
• Experience owning Tier-0 or Tier-1 services in a 24x7x365, multi-datacenter environment.
• Experience with public cloud and infrastructure as code.
• Strong communication with senior stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Define multi-year vision and roadmap for Salesforce DNS/DDI.
• Lead and grow a high-performing engineering team.
• Own availability, latency, and change-safety targets with incident management.
• Modernize platform to cloud-native, multi-provider DNS.
• Automate through AI-assisted development and self-service APIs.
