Job summary

The Caterpillar Oil & Gas Division has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Manager, Digital Requirements & Performance role located in Houston, Texas. The Senior Manager oversees planning, organization and implementation of multiple and complex digital projects.

This role requires leadership, strategic planning, and the ability to translate corporate objectives into program objectives, working across Marine and Oil & Gas teams to drive customer value and business results.

Qualifications

• Planning: Tactical, Strategic planning knowledge for short-term to 3-5 year horizons.
• Decision Making: Ability to analyze and decide based on informed judgment.
• Organizational Leadership: Lead and align teams to objectives.
• Program Management (M0260): Manage related projects within a program.
• Change Control: Manage changes in production environments and processes.
• Problem Management: Identify root causes and drive resolutions.

Responsibilities

• Work across Marine and Oil & Gas teams to define digital requirements to drive customer value and business results
• Support digital requirements for services execution
• Support digital hardware requirements
• Develop and manage metrics for quality, performance, velocity and cost of digital solutions
• Communicate, align and govern across COGMD and enterprise partners
• Work with Marine and O&G teams to define requirements for dealer delivered digital solutions
• Serve as primary voice of COGMD into Cat Digital
• Manage all aspects of a program to ensure the program is implemented, accepted and accomplished within a set deadline.
• Plan and monitor program development to ensure that quality standards are achieved.
• Organize and coordinate teams who work on diverse aspects of digital programs.
• Serve as a liaison and build bridges among groups within and outside of the digital field.
• Monitor project results for significant deviations.
• Ensure adherence to quality standards and processes.
• Translate corporate objectives into program objectives and practices.

What you will have

• Planning: Tactical, Strategic: Knowledge of effective planning techniques and ability to contribute to operational (short term), tactical (1-2 years) and strategic (3-5 years) planning in support of the overall business plan.
• Decision Making and Critical Thinking: Knowledge of the decision-making process and associated tools and techniques; ability to accurately analyze situations and reach productive decisions based on informed judgment.
• Organizational Leadership: Knowledge of leadership concepts and ability to use strategies and skills to enlist others in setting, embracing and achieving objectives.
• Program Management (M0260): Knowledge of the policies and techniques to manage a set of related projects within a program; ability to plan, organize, monitor, and control the set of projects, ensuring efficient utilization of technical and administrative resources to achieve program objectives.
• Change Control: Knowledge of the processes and procedures by which a change is identified, evaluated, approved, monitored and documented; Ability to manage changes in the production environment and processes effectively+
• Problem Management: Knowledge of the processes involved in problem control, error control and the production of management information or computer hardware; ability to identify the root cause of problems in a timely and accurate manner and bring them to a successful resolution.

Summary Pay Range

$172,630.00 - $258,950.00

Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
