Ulta Beauty seeks an experienced Senior Manager, Digital Experience Architecture to lead technology strategy and architecture for customer-facing digital experiences across Web, Mobile, and GraphQL layers.

The role blends strategic leadership with hands-on architectural work, partnering with Product, UX, and Engineering to define roadmaps, drive investments, and ensure scalable, high-performance platforms. Strong AI-native and modern engineering practices are valued.

Competenze

• 12+ years of experience in software engineering, architecture, or solution architecture.
• 5+ years leading architecture teams or senior technical organizations.
• Experience architecting enterprise-scale, customer-facing digital platforms.
• Deep expertise in React-based web applications and modern frontend architecture.
• Strong knowledge of GraphQL, API-first design, and integration patterns.
• Experience with headless CMS platforms (Amplience preferred).
• Knowledge of Redis and distributed caching strategies.
• Experience designing scalable, resilient, high-performing web/mobile solutions.
• Strong documentation skills, ADRs, and architectural standards.

Mansioni

• Define and evolve target architecture for Ulta Beauty's Digital Experience Platform across Web, Mobile, GraphQL, and shared frontend capabilities.
• Lead architecture governance and ensure alignment with measurable business outcomes.
• Build prototypes, POCs, and reference implementations to validate approaches and reduce risk.
• Review APIs and integration patterns to ensure security, performance, and maintainability.
• Partner with engineering teams to ensure architectural integrity during delivery.
• Drive performance, resiliency, observability, and operational excellence across platforms.
• Champion documentation and architectural standards across teams.
