Job summary

Avantus is seeking a Manager or Senior Manager of Development for the WECC market, including CAISO, to lead solar and energy storage project development. You will oversee site acquisition, interconnection, regulatory approvals, engineering, and financial valuation with internal teams and external consultants.

The role requires 5–10 years in energy development, strong financial analysis, and proven leadership across cross‑functional teams.

Qualifications

• 5–10 years in energy infrastructure development in WECC/CAISO; strong financial analysis.
• Ability to communicate complex ideas clearly and drive projects forward.
• Detail-oriented with leadership and cross-functional collaboration across teams.

Responsibilities

• Manage development activities: site acquisition, interconnection, permitting, regulatory approvals, engineering, and valuation.
• Coordinate with internal teams, consultants, attorneys, advisers, transmission providers, and financing counterparts.
• Identify project risks and coordinate mitigation across cross-functional teams.
• Oversee budgets and project schedules; travel to sites and meet stakeholders.
• Support land use, environmental permitting, and title curative processes.
