Job summary

BGRE in New York, NY is seeking a Senior Manager to lead design and space planning across multiple Class-A office projects. You will guide test fits, coordinate consultants and vendors, and ensure brand alignment from concept through FF&E.

The role requires strong client-facing communication, 8–10 years of CRE architecture and interiors experience, and expertise with Bluebeam, Procore and AutoCAD. A fast-paced, collaborative environment awaits.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a client‑facing role or customer success.
  • Minimum 8-10 years of commercial real estate architecture and interiors experience.
  • Experience with Class‑A office a must; exposure to other property types preferred.
  • Experience with construction process as it relates to design, cost and constructability.
  • Knowledge of MEP/FP, acoustics, structural engineering, FF&E, AV/IT/Security, lighting design and NYC code/permitting.
  • Experience leading teams of consultants/vendors to deliver a project from start to closeout.
  • Working knowledge of material and furniture specifications.
  • Strong communication skills to present design ideas to stakeholders.
  • Proficiency with Bluebeam; familiarity with Procore and AutoCAD.
  • Knowledge of Procore and AutoCAD.

Responsibilities

  • Lead design process with tenants, guiding space planning test fits and furniture selections.
  • Deliver design solutions reflecting tenant brand and business goals with responsive service.
  • Manage design across all phases: Testfit, SD, DD, CD, CA and FF&E.
  • Oversee consultant teams and FF&E vendors within budget and schedule.
  • Conduct tenant feasibility studies and testfits to drive decisions.
  • Develop test fits with Bluebeam or AutoCAD; markup drawings for direction.
  • Lead FF&E/finishes selections and curate samples for tenants.
  • Source finish samples and light fixtures from materials library.
  • Manage multiple projects concurrently with diverse consultant teams.
  • Collaborate with Construction, workplace operations and technology teams.
  • Support development of team initiatives to reinforce objectives.
  • Identify design ideas, trends and product specs to evolve standards.
  • Build positive culture and contribute to design vision and strategy.
  • Develop and maintain project schedules and reporting; budget reporting.

Role & Responsibilities
  • Lead the design process with tenants, serving as the primary design contact to guide space planning test fits, all design phases, and furniture selections if applicable
  • Deliver outstanding service by listening to tenant needs, providing design solutions that reflect their brand and business goals, and ensuring responsiveness throughout the project
  • Manage the design of projects across all phases, including Testfit, SD, DD, Construction Documentation, Construction Administration, and furniture procurement
  • Oversee consultant teams and FFE vendors to deliver projects within budget and schedule
  • Conduct and manage tenant feasibility studies and testfits to assess space options and drive decision-making processes.
  • Develop test fits as needed with Bluebeam or Autocad; Markup drawings from consultants to provide design direction
  • Lead furniture/ art/ accessories selection, finishes, and develop FF&E presentations, ensuring alignment with the project vision and tenant feedback; Source finish samples to present curated options to tenants
  • Take a hands‑on approach in finding and sourcing finish samples, light fixtures, etc., from our materials library to provide directions to the design architect
  • Manage multiple projects in different phases concurrently with different consultant teams consisting of architects, engineers, etc.
  • Collaborate with internal cross‑functional partners, including Construction, workplace operations, and technology teams, among others
  • Support the development of team and cross‑functional initiatives to reinforce business objectives
  • Identify design ideas, trends, and new product specifications to evolve our design standards and innovate our physical workplace products
  • Build a positive culture on our growing team and have significant input to our design vision, strategy, and execution
  • Develop and maintain project schedules, as well as reporting and mitigating deviations
  • Budget reporting for purposes of project approval, tenant (or other) allocations, requisition approvals, as well as any project‑specific reporting needs
Your Qualifications

  • Experience and knowledge of the construction process as it relates to design, both in terms of relative cost and constructability
  • Experience and knowledge of MEP/FP, acoustics, structural engineering, FF&E, AV/IT/Security, lighting design, and NYC building code and permitting processes
  • Experience leading teams of consultants/vendors to deliver a project from start to closeout
  • Working knowledge of material and furniture specifications
  • Strong communication skills to present design ideas to stakeholders
  • Proficient in Bluebeam
  • Knowledge in Procore and AutoCAD

Compensation & Benefits

  • Annual Base Salary Range: $130,000 - $150,000
